Let me outta this car…Kristen Bell is making me carsick.

Film #022 of 2013
Director: David Palmer Cast: Dax Shepard [Charles], Kristen Bell [Annie] & Bradley Cooper [Alex]
Plot: Former getaway driver Charlie Bronson jeopardizes his Witness Protection Plan identity in order to help his girlfriend get to Los Angeles. The feds and Charlie’s former gang chase them on the road. Source IMDB.com
Hipster Review: Hit and Run is a notch above what you would expect from a romantic dark comedy – it’s too well done to be bad, but too safe to be any good…sadly, it wants to be more about Shepard and Bell’s sappy relationship than about a dangerous crime drama. Watched January 19th, 2013.

“I look out the window, you’re ghost-ridin’ your van and blasting holes in everything…you gotta be more careful!” Charlie

Positives:
- Gay cop Terry
- Old people orgies and grocery store beat downs
- Groovy soundtrack…apparently they spent more on the rights to the music than the actual filming
- Banter between Dax Shepherd and Bradley Cooper about prison sex was hilarious
- 700 hp Lincoln Continental and a Tatum Dune buggy
Biggest Surprise: How bad a good movie can be.
Biggest Let Down: Kristen Bell and Tom Arnold downgrade the film.
Does the guy get the hot girl in the end? With 700 ponies under the hood, you would think so.
Oscar Potential? And the Oscar for Best Orgy Scene goes to…
Similar to: The Bounty Hunter [2010], This Means War [2012].
1967 Lincoln Continental with 700hp or a 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500?
Thanks for stopping by, Chris.

uhgggghh… Tom Arnold?? Still wish I got to catch this in theaters. I have this nagging feeling it would always be best enjoyed on the big screen and not on DVD (even though DVD’s cheaper) Is this typical Brad Cooper or do we get to see a new side to him?
Cooper is one of the best parts of the film, he’s pretty funny actually. He’s a criminal with dreadlocks. haha
Saw this recently and there wasn’t much to like about the movie. The cars were cool, but not much story. Bradley Cooper’s character was funny.
Those were all Dax Shepard’s personal cars too. The story was very weak but I really digged Cooper’s dreads. lol
It can be funny at times, but in the end, nothing really all that special. I was more or less surprised that I actually liked Shepard here, as I found him more charming then, well, ever. Good review.
Totally, the kind of film that when it ends you say “hmmm…” and then move on to the next. I liked Dax in this, the dialogue between himself and Cooper was pretty good.
1967 Lincoln Continental with 700hp – ALL THE WAY!!!
You know it….
Spot on, pretty much. I didn’t blame Kristen Bell as much as the script. I remember my primary gripe was how talky it was… I didnt sign on to see those two hash out their relationship, you know?? LOL
Oh I know….relationship Do’s & Dont’s, theories on race relations and stuff, I guess the writer couldn’t come up with anything clever. The script was rather dull.
‘old people orgy’ is one of the positives of this movie? about 5 years ago I stopped looking in the mirror – can’t imagine anyone wanting to actually film something like that! LOL
Yeah it was funny as hell! Not quite an orgy, more like walking in on a bunch of naked old people.
please, no more descriptions, I’m blind! lol
Ha ha!!!!!
Keep hearing good things about this, especially Cooper, but it still doesnt really make me want to watch it. One day, when it hits TV over here in about 8 years maybe Ill give it a go!
Yeah, don’t go rushing out to the video store…if you still have one there…it’s definitely a freebie film.
